VIII. Focus
One of the most important principles to consider during your time at Central Care Mission is the need to remain focused on why you are at Central Care Mission and what you need to accomplish. Being focused and undistracted is crucial to your success. It is important that you not be distracted by issues such as your past, other people's problems, outside relationships, large sums of money, or the urgent rather than the important. It will require all of your focus and attention to accomplish your "life strategy".
Central Care Mission is not a perfect environment. It is not supposed to be, and never should be. You will experience situations while in this semi-controlled environment which are similar to the ones you will experience outside of the environment. These will be situations you have experienced in the past. However, there are several reasons why you may have responded or reacted to those situations inappropriately. It is not our goal to eliminate these situations from your life while you are in this environment, but rather to "walk you through" them, helping you identify the inappropriateness of your responses and how to respond appropriately. These situations many times come from the following areas:
Please note that changes must take place in the way you respond in given situations or you will continue to repeat the cycles and same behavior that you came to Central Care Mission to overcome! You cannot make the same choices and decisions you have made in the past without expecting the same results.
