Handbook for Central Care Mission Residents

Central Care Mission is a long-term residential program for men.

Central Care Mission was formed in 1987. It was relocated to 4027 Lenox Boulevard in early 1990.
It presently operates as a Florida 501(c)(3) Not-For-Profit Corporation.

The purpose of Central Care Mission is to minister to the whole person...spiritually, emotionally, educationally, and vocationally...in order to assure that you may gain a successful re-entry into society with appropriate skills, a sense of self-worth, equipped for employment and independent living.

We provide in the following areas:

  • Basic Living Needs
  • Employment and Job Development
  • Spiritual Growth
  • Personal and Career Counseling
  • Education and Training
  • Life Management Skills

The objectives of Central Care Mission consist of assisting you in doing the following:

  • Identify the barriers which prevent you from succeeding in life.
  • Determine the choices which have caused your quality of life to deteriorate.
  • Assist you in overcoming addictions.
  • Teach you how to establish and develop meaningful lasting relationships.
  • Make you aware of the principles and value of God's Word.
  • Provide alternative behavior to behavior which has been destructive in your past.
  • Identify and alter inappropriate thought patterns which lead down cycles of failure.
  • Learning how to function effectively in a social setting.
  • Obtaining gainful employment.
  • Learning Life-Management skills.
  • Finding peace in your life.

To accomplish this, we feel we must:

  • Work with you individually within a corporate setting to help you develop a "Life-Strategy".
  • Maintain a strong structure of accountability for time, finances, behavior, relationships, and motives.
  • Challenge you to stretch yourself through classes and activities.
  • Provide a platform for fellowship and growth in a Christian atmosphere.
  • Be available to provide direction in decision-making without creating dependency.
