Handbook for Central Care Mission Residents
Central Care Mission is a long-term residential program for men.
Central Care Mission was formed in 1987. It was relocated to 4027 Lenox Boulevard in early 1990.
It presently operates as a Florida 501(c)(3) Not-For-Profit Corporation.
The purpose of Central Care Mission is to minister to the whole person...spiritually, emotionally, educationally, and vocationally...in order to assure that you may gain a successful re-entry into society with appropriate skills, a sense of self-worth, equipped for employment and independent living.
We provide in the following areas:
- Basic Living Needs
- Employment and Job Development
- Spiritual Growth
- Personal and Career Counseling
- Education and Training
- Life Management Skills
The objectives of Central Care Mission consist of assisting you in doing the following:
- Identify the barriers which prevent you from succeeding in life.
- Determine the choices which have caused your quality of life to deteriorate.
- Assist you in overcoming addictions.
- Teach you how to establish and develop meaningful lasting relationships.
- Make you aware of the principles and value of God's Word.
- Provide alternative behavior to behavior which has been destructive in your past.
- Identify and alter inappropriate thought patterns which lead down cycles of failure.
- Learning how to function effectively in a social setting.
- Obtaining gainful employment.
- Learning Life-Management skills.
- Finding peace in your life.
To accomplish this, we feel we must:
- Work with you individually within a corporate setting to help you develop a "Life-Strategy".
- Maintain a strong structure of accountability for time, finances, behavior, relationships, and motives.
- Challenge you to stretch yourself through classes and activities.
- Provide a platform for fellowship and growth in a Christian atmosphere.
- Be available to provide direction in decision-making without creating dependency.
